CHAPTER 1 : CHILDHOOD

A Dreamer with a Purpose

Siddharth was always a boy of many talents. As a child, he had an immense passion for cricket, even playing for the state team. His love for the game was pure, but his obedient nature eventually nudged him toward a different path—one that demanded focus and dedication in his studies. He set aside his cricketing dreams, trusting that his future lay in another direction, one where he could combine his love for learning with his innate drive to succeed.

In 9th grade, something else swept Siddharth’s heart away. He met a girl, and for the first time, his heart raced in a way it never had before. Every time he saw her, he felt those butterflies, that fluttering excitement that made everything else seem distant. They began talking endlessly, their conversations filling the long hours of the day and night on Instagram. For Siddharth, she was both a distraction and a muse, pulling him away from his usual academic routine. Yet, despite the distractions, he couldn't help but continue to nurture the relationship.

Even though his academics had always been a priority, Siddharth excelled in school, winning the "Student of the Year" award in 9th grade. It was clear that he had the potential to succeed in whatever he put his mind to. But as 2020 arrived, bringing with it the pandemic and the lockdown, Siddharth’s world shifted. It was a time of uncertainty, and the weight of his 10th-grade board exams loomed large. His academic focus wavered as he tried to juggle his studies with his growing relationship.

But life, as it often does, had other plans. After a year, Siddharth found himself at a crossroads. He made the difficult decision to take a break from the relationship. It wasn’t a breakup, just a pause, hoping that some space would help him regain his clarity. However, the universe had different intentions. Three months later, Siddharth discovered that the girl he had once poured his heart into was already in a relationship with someone else. The pain hit harder than he expected, especially when he saw her sharing stories with her new partner on Instagram.

At that moment, Siddharth felt completely lost. His heart was in turmoil, and he found himself mentally invested in someone who had moved on. This emotional turmoil impacted his focus, and his 11th grade was a blur. He spent his time reflecting, questioning, and trying to come to terms with the emotional wound. But in the midst of all that, he knew that his future depended on him pulling himself together.

Determined not to waste any more time, Siddharth channeled his energy back into his academics, especially preparing for the 12th-grade board exams and his ultimate goal—NEET. In 12th grade, something changed within him. He met a group of friends who became his guiding lights. These friends, with their own unique stories, helped Siddharth realize the importance of resilience, friendship, and the pursuit of goals despite the setbacks. They shared lessons that would stay with him forever: never give up on yourself, no matter how dark the times may get.
